Exclusive Check-In Process
Your vehicles are checked in to Clear View Systems exclusive check in lane where your vehicle will receive a condition report written by our own team of inspectors.
Our team will do a more in depth condition report to ensure an accurate description of your vehicle and post more photos than is required by the normal process. Upon completion, your vehicle will be numbered and moved to spot to allow any prospective buyers to inspect the outside of the vehicle.
Buyers can inspect the inside on sale day when our team will be present to ensure there will be no tampering or sabotaging of the vehicle. At this point your vehicle will be listed on line to allow simulcast buyers to view prior to the sale on the auction website.
All cars listed with Clear View will receive a condition report. Because ALL cars in our lanes have a Clear View vehicle condition report – we have the largest on line simulcast attendance than any other consignment lane. This helps ensure we not only have the 20 to 30 in lane buyers, but another one hundred or more prospective buyers online.
Secure Storage
All our vehicle are locked and the keys are kept locked in the key room on the Clear View key board. We guarantee your vehicle will not be tampered with and no items will be removed from the vehicle.
The keys can only be moved by our team.
This helps to ensure your vehicle will not be driven around the lot or test driven. This also keeps buyers from tampering or sabotaging the vehicle to possible purchase at a lower price.
Lane Position
You will enjoy prime lane placement in a lane with only new car dealer trade-ins.
Since every car in the Clear View lane has a comprehensive condition report online, we have high internet attendance at all our sales. We do not sell cars for independent dealers in order to lend integrity to our lane.
Clear View buyers feel more confident knowing our cars come from new car stores and have not passed through several wholesalers prior to making its way to the auction.
Our lanes have consistently enjoyed one of the highest sales percentages week after week. We are averaging over 100% of MMR in our lane with some dealers averaging as much as 110%.
Lane Management
On sale day all cars are started and checked for fuel, warning lights and any immediate mechanical issues that need to be addressed prior to running through the lanes.
At the time of sale we have four Clear View team members monitoring the lane to make sure no one is over revving the cars or attempting to molest or tamper with them.
We also make sure all the cars run consecutively. We don’t allow anyone to re run or run cars out of order. Since we have such a large on line buying audience, this ensures there is no confusion for the online buyers.
Representation
Our rep will be on the block during the entire auction run. We monitor all in lane activities.
We make sure the auctioneer gives ample time for internet bidders and in lane bidders to get in on the bidding process.
We do not allow one bidding. If someone opens the car up for the floor price, the auctioneer will announce “on the money and
selling all the way”.
This helps ensure we get all the money for your cars. Our rep is the only one who will have your floor prices. This information is kept confidential until the time the car hits the block and we tell the auctioneer the floor. The auctioneer also has to ask if he can sell the car before closing the bidding. All vehicle that have run with a condition report that do not sell, we will list on OVE for the “Clear View Systems Weekend Event Sale”.
Arbitration
After your vehicle sells, the buyer has the option to purchase a post sale inspection on guaranteed cars.
If the vehicle fails the inspection, we have our own technician inspect the vehicle.
If we agree with the call, then we work with the buyer to try and keep the vehicle sold with either an offer of adjustment or repairing the vehicle.
If we do not agree, we either send the vehicle out to the dealer for repair/inspection or to another third party mechanic located off site.
We exhaust every avenue to keep cars sold. If it doesn’t sell, we don’t get paid.
Online Dealer Portal
Clear View customers gain exclusive access to the Clear View Systems Dealer Portal.
Only Clear View customers have complete access to their auction inventory.
Using our secure portal customers are able to set floor pricing, view active auction inventory, review weekly sales summary and detail reporting, print and export data to excel, research past sales history and much more.
We also provide our customers with online notification and the ability to manage multiple dealerships using a single account.Quickly access your sales results, sell nets, MMR realized, sales percentages.
Clear View notifications and inventory notes quickly provide you with information if a deal unwinds or is arbitrated.
Account Statements
We provide accounts receivable statements management for all our accounts.We check your monthly statement if provided to us to ensure you are not getting charged for any fees you are not responsible for. We also provide our own online statements to our accounts. In these statements you will have your sale results, sell nets, average MMR realized on all cars sold, the carry over inventory, and sales percentage. All statements are in excel format that can be downloaded and modified for your accounts receivables department.
Summary
The above process might seem trivial to some. Some might think the steps we take are not that important. But the days of driving your car to the auction the day of the sale and getting all the money for it are over.
Dealers spend thousands of dollars a month on advertising their retail cars to prospective buyers with print ads and internet advertising. Dealers have sales forces dedicated to retail sales. Why not market your wholesale cars in the same fashion but without the expense?
